Job Purpose
Implementation of scoped software solutions with guidance from technical lead. Participate in requirement gathering and architectural design, user experience assessment to refine the development process. Provide daily support of deployed solutions and resolution of bugs to ensure delivery of high quality software.
Role Objectives
- Engage in business requirements gathering and user experience analysis
- Understanding operational data and resources across various business units
- Participate in solution architecture and design
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and assigned project managers to plan and execute scoped projects
- Implement software solutions with or without supervision via coding or tooling
- Write unit tests and perform functional testing on implemented solutions
- Deployment of software to Cloud or users
- Management and resolution of bugs
- Interact with users for feedback and identify opportunities for continual improvement
- Monitor and assess telemetry data to ensure system and infrastructure health
- Take ownership of deliveries and tracking of progress and provide updates
- Opportunities to R&D various software and IoT solutions and have fun
Education and Experience
- Pursuing Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Software development experience in various projects (schools, internship or voluntary) performing duties similar to those listed above
Knowledge and Skills
- Object oriented programming language such as C#/Go/Java/Python
- Full stack web application development
- Database administration and management with basic T-SQL
- Understanding of Cloud Platform Services such as Azure/AWS
- Attention to detail and quick to address issues with continuous improvement
- Exceptional, effective written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management, facilitation, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment
- Self-motivated with strong initiative and desire to succeed
- Not afraid to fail and recognize failure to learn from it
- Savvy in the digital world and social media
